We offer complete instruction in the Olympic Sport of Fencing.
Bay State Fencers, established in 2004, located on the border of Cambridge, MA and Somerville, MA. We are a full-service urban fencing club that serves fencing enthusiasts in and around the Boston area. We are pleased to offer fencing classes, fencing programs, fencing clinics for people ages 7 to 70+. Learn to fence at Bay State Fencers! We also offer a state of the art fencing club, open fencing, and individual private fencing lessons year round.

How long have you been in business?
We are celebrating our tenth year in business.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary offering is instruction in Epee, one of the three weapons in the Olympic sport of Fencing. We also provide open fencing and armoring services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started fencing in 1976, while in college and later took lessons at Salle Auriol in Portland OR.. I received my coaching certifications in Foil, Sabre and Epee from the United States Fencing Association Coaches College and later from the United States Fencing Coach Association.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We were the first Fencing Club in the Boston Metro area since the late 1960's.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently just one.

We are located in the Union Square neighborhood, Taza Chocolate is in the same building.
What type of payments do you accept?
American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, cash and checks.
Which areas do you service?
Boston, Cambridge, Somerville primarily and adjoining neighborhoods.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open: Monday 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm,Tuesday 3:00 - 6:30 pm, Wednesday 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Thursday 3:00 pm -9:30 pm, Friday 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am - 2:00 pm.
