Miller-Havens is primarily a figurative oil painter interested in portraying some of the subtleties in life by means of color and unexpected moments in time. Miller-Havens is best known for portraits of athletes such as Hall of Fame Catcher, Carlton Fisk and Pedro Martinez (both in The National Portrait Gallery Collection, Washington D.C.), as well as images of anonymous basketball players. Her Commissions include portraits of St Louis Cardinals catcher, now current manager, Mike Matheny, Cambridge Mayor Alice Wolf, Dean Jerome Murphy, Harvard University and Patrick J. Riley Miami HEAT. Two other collections are; "Womens's Best Friends" about relationships and two, "Looking For A Silver Lining", expressions in mixed media color fields.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The making of Art often reflects the artist's view or experience of life. An artist can choose to share what they see with the public or not. Unlike artists who worked for the Church and large wealthy families during the Renaissance, America has not generally been financial supportive of artists. Unless an artist is funded or independently wealthy there needs to be a business side to the endeavor. How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am not a gallery although my work is displayed in my studio where I work.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one location and no need to expand at this t ime.
